Elephant in the ROOM.

These guys haven't called me. I had that awesome interview last Tuesday and was really hoping I'd have a message by the end of this week, but while I sit here and type words that probably give you the idea that I am panicked and sad and biting my fingernails, I'm actually quite calm about the whole business! I had a good feeling before/during/after my chat with them, and what will be, will be. I can't get caught up on it. So, I've just kept hammering out the cover letters and harassing the recruiting agencies I've signed up with. Maybe they'll give me a consulting gig just to get me out of their hair! Whatever works.

You guys, how cute is that elephant?!

Did you know that I made myself a sweet little professional website? I was asked last week by a potential employer for a sample of work and something that could show my sense of style/taste. Pinterest would work well for that, but that's too easy! ENTER: My Own Site. Tell me what you think! Any feedback is helpful feedback. That said, thanks to my lady friends for giving me your advice - I think it came out nicely! Now just to keep creating to build that "portfolio"...

Did you know that while you're watching those adorable daffodils pop out of the ground, I'm sadly watching leaves fall to the same place? At least it's pretty!

Luckily we found ourselves out east at Mt. Dandenong, which is more of a hill than a mountain, and came across the Rhododendron Gardens - seriously. WOW. They were not your mom's rhododendron's guys. These things were the size of trees! I can't wait to see that place in the spring. Out of this world.

MOM AND SARAH. Look at what I found for YOU in the gardens! A Kookaburra and a wedding flower!

And they do sound like they actually laugh!!!

No, not the flowers, silly pants.

It was gorgeous up there. And way too much fun to cruise around in a car with all the leaves flying about.

This is what you're visualizing. I know you are. It doesn't happen anymore. Although those were good times.
Dang it! I put the driver on the wrong side. Anyway, the lookout from up there was pretty rad, but definitely much better in person than these pictures. Also cool were the couple of small "hikes" we found. Just nice to get out and walk around in NATURE. With no cars or trams or people whizzing by.

Hi Melbin! Hi clouds! Hi lack of city smog!

Other things these past couple of weeks:
- I am a proud owner of a Melbourne Library card = FREE BOOKS!
- I found a place that has $6 GOOD beer. Big win for me and the guy who can't stop complaining about how expensive the beer is.
- The bottle shop downstairs (boutique wine store, not a homeless liquor bin) has a really awesome owner and we chatted last night about selling some of my baked goodies in his store!
- The MCG is a circular arena and watching games there really makes you feel like Quidditch happens there when no one is looking.
- I GOT THE COOLEST SAVE THE DATE OF ALL TIME!!!

And lastly. Someone was trying to be awesome and make me a nice "spa like" glass of water. That someone forgot that you use cucumber instead of zucchini. :) Love the effort. Love the effort. Peace folks!

That glass is embarassingly dirty. Whoops.
